Robert Daniel Fielder, born February 1834 in Staunton Augusta County, Virginia married Nancy Ellen Walker, born November 1842 in Virginia. They amrried Feb. 16, 1861.
They were the parents of Robert Preston Fielder Sr.
He served in the 37th Virginia Company E in the civil war.
He was captured at Spotsylvania Courthouse and was sent to Elmira Prison Camp at New York.
He is wearing his civil war medal in this picture.
